Sandra Walton Wilson (Sandy) is the mother of 2 and grandmother of 5. She is an educator who enjoys writing, painting and playing the piano.

Sandy grew up in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania and taught in the elementary classrooms and in the Gifted Program in Abington Township School District (PA) and Endicott School District (NY). As an Adjunct Professor of Education at Montgomery Community College (PA) and Temple University (PA), she taught in the Education Departments. Then as a teacher supervisor in the Reduced Class Size Balanced Literacy Program in the Philadelphia (PA) School System, she enjoyed guiding those in other fields in studying to become teachers. She was also a Teacher Editor for the Silver Burdett Ginn’s Science Program.

Sandra earned a B.A. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education (Cheyney University of Pennsylvania); a M.A. in Urban Education (Montclair University); a M.A. in Humanities with a concentration in Fine Arts (Arcadia University); and a Ph.D. in Urban Education (Temple University). As an ordained Deacon in the Baptist Church, Past National President of Black Women’s Educational Alliance, Inc., Past NAACP Youth Director of eastern Pennsylvania; and chapter Historian in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the chapter Health Target Chairman in Links, Inc, she served the community.

Her paintings have been displayed in judged shows such as the Women Caucus of Art, Temple University, The African American Museum of Philadelphia, etc.. One of her plays, "We Are" was selected for publication in the International Journal of Black Drama. Her writings have been published in anthologies and journals.
